Safety & Community Guidelines

Safety is Oowhaa's #1 pillar. Every passenger, commercial driver, guarantor, and service partner must uphold these mandatory safety and conduct rules.

Last Revised: October 16, 2026Jurisdiction: Federal Republic of Nigeria
1. 24/7 Emergency SOS Hotline & In-App Panic Button
0800-Oowhaa-SOS

During any active ride or logistics dispatch, both Passengers and Drivers have one-tap access to the In-App Panic Button and our 24/7 Emergency Response Desk at 0800-Oowhaa-SOS. Triggering an SOS immediately shares live GPS coordinates, vehicle plate/VIN data, and verified KYC identity records with our Rapid Response Team and local authorities.

2. Customer (Rider) Safety Responsibilities
  • Pre-Boarding Check: Always confirm that the vehicle Plate Number, Make/Model, Color, and Driver Photograph match your Oowhaa dispatch screen before entering the vehicle.
  • Seatbelt & Capacity: Wear your seatbelt at all times and never exceed the maximum passenger capacity for your selected ride tier (Standard, Comfort, Executive, or 6-seater XL).
  • Respectful Conduct: Verbal abuse, physical harassment, or requesting a driver to violate traffic speed limits or route restrictions is strictly prohibited.
3. Driver Partner Commercial Safety & Vehicle Charter
  • Active Driver's License & sobriety: Drivers must hold an unexpired FRSC Driver's License at all times and maintain zero blood-alcohol or intoxicating substance levels while online.
  • No Unauthorized Account or Vehicle Sharing: Only the verified Driver whose photograph and KYC documents were approved may drive on the account, and only inside the registered vehicle (or authorized Service Partner Fleet ID vehicle).
  • 4.85★+ Quality Benchmark: Drivers are expected to maintain clean interiors, functional air conditioning (required for Comfort, Executive, and XL tiers), and safe defensive driving habits.
4. Three-Guarantor Accountability Framework

To protect passengers and Service Partner fleet owners, every Oowhaa Driver Partner must maintain three (3) active, verified guarantors on file (including full name, email, phone number, and passport photo). If a guarantor withdraws their backing or fails periodic verification, the driver's dispatch privileges are paused until a replacement guarantor is verified.

5. Service Partner Safety (Repair, Logistics, Car Rental & Car Sale)
  • Repair Workshops: Must employ certified technicians, perform brake and safety checks before releasing vehicles, and log all replaced parts.
  • Logistics Couriers: Must inspect unsealed waybills for prohibited items and secure all cargo loads according to FRSC weight regulations.
  • Car Rental & Car Sale Providers: Must pass Oowhaa's 150-point mechanical and legal-title inspection before listing any vehicle for rental, driver Fleet ID assignment, or Showroom sale.
6. Zero-Tolerance Violations & Deactivation

Oowhaa enforces immediate, permanent account deactivation and law enforcement referral for any user who engages in identity forgery, driving under the influence, weapon possession, sexual or physical misconduct, off-app fare extortion, or stolen vehicle listing.
